TL;DR I wrote an episode of The Simpsons. It’s airing this Sunday at 8pm. PLEASE WATCH IT!

About a year ago, I had the amazing opportunity to pitch and write an episode of The Simpsons. It was an awesome, intimidating experience, and I only hope I did the show justice. Above are the promo images they’ve released for it so far, here’s the plot synopsis:

When Bart is forced to chaperone Jimbo’s girlfriend to a movie, she ends up developing feelings for him. Meanwhile, Homer develops an obsession with an old television show.

It airs this Sunday at 8pm and I’d love for you all to watch it. The B-plot especially is mine, and was based on the frustrating experience of watching LOST about a year and a half after everybody else at CollegeHumor.

I could go on for pages about how The Simpsons almost singlehandedly molded my comedic sensibilities, and how I think, at its best, it’s the perfect television show, but instead I’ll just post the first Simpsons joke I ever laughed at, almost twenty years ago:

Perfect.

This Sunday is a MUST WATCH. Can’t wait to see it!

Chicken or the Egg

I bought this little chicken egg holder one day while hitting my favorite antique shop. I just had to shoot it! This set was shot with almost all natural light, except for one strobe hitting the background on occasion. Filling with white cards for bounce. I wanted to keep the light on this set nice and soft on this overcast day.

I want eggs now.
